What is HydraFacial?
A HydraFacial is a non-invasive, multi-step skincare treatment offered at medical spas that provides deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection to the skin. It’s known for being gentle yet highly effective, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
How a HydraFacial Works:
Cleansing and Exfoliation: The treatment begins with a cleansing step where dead skin cells and excess sebum are removed, revealing a fresh layer of skin. This step uses a gentle exfoliating tip combined with a solution that loosens impurities.
Acid Peel: A mild acid peel is then applied to further exfoliate the skin and prepare it for extraction. Unlike traditional chemical peels, the HydraFacial peel is gentle and does not cause irritation or excessive peeling.
Extraction: The next step involves painless extraction using a vacuum-like device that cleans out pores, removing blackheads, whiteheads, and other impurities without causing damage to the skin.
Hydration and Infusion: The final step infuses the skin with a customized blend of serums containing hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, peptides, and other beneficial ingredients. This deeply hydrates the skin, providing nourishment and promoting a radiant, healthy glow.
The Benefits of a HydraFacial:
- Immediate Results: The treatment delivers noticeable improvements in skin tone, texture, and hydration immediately after the session.
- Customizable: HydraFacial can be tailored to address specific skin concerns, such as fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, and dull skin.
- No Downtime: The procedure is quick, typically taking 30-45 minutes, and requires no downtime, making it convenient for busy schedules.
- Safe for All Skin Types: It’s suitable for sensitive skin and can be performed on individuals with various skin types and concerns.
HydraFacial is a popular choice for those seeking a quick and effective skin rejuvenation treatment that provides immediate, visible results without the discomfort or downtime associated with more intensive procedures.
Our HydraFacial Technique
At Xage Medical Spa, our commitment to personalized care begins with an in-depth consultation for new patients considering HydraFacials.
During this initial meeting, our experienced skincare specialists take the time to thoroughly assess each patient’s skin type, condition, and specific concerns. We listen attentively to the patient’s aesthetic goals and desired outcomes, whether they are looking to address fine lines, improve skin texture, reduce acne, or enhance overall radiance.
Based on this comprehensive evaluation, we determine if HydraFacials are the most suitable treatment option and, if so, customize the procedure to target the unique needs of the patient’s skin.
This tailored approach ensures that each patient receives a safe, effective treatment plan designed to achieve their individual skincare goals, while also providing them with education on how to maintain and enhance their results.
After Your HydraFacial Treatment
After receiving a HydraFacial from Xage Medical Spa, it is important to follow specific these post-treatment instructions to ensure optimal results and maintain the health of your skin. Here are some typical guidelines:
Avoid Sun Exposure: Your skin may be more sensitive following a HydraFacial. It’s crucial to protect it from sun exposure by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and wearing protective clothing or a hat when outdoors.
Do Not Exfoliate: Refrain from using any exfoliating products, such as scrubs or acid-based treatments, for at least 48 hours after the procedure, as your skin has already undergone a thorough exfoliation.
Keep Your Skin Hydrated: Use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to keep your skin well-nourished and prevent dryness. Hydration is key to maintaining the glow and smoothness achieved from the treatment. We offer many excellent moisturizers in our onsite store.
Avoid Heat and Sweating: For the first 24-48 hours, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, such as strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot showers, as heat can irritate the skin and affect the results.
Do Not Use Makeup Immediately: It’s best to avoid applying makeup on the same day as the treatment to allow your skin to breathe and absorb the beneficial serums applied during the HydraFacial.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support overall skin health and help maintain the hydration effects of the treatment.
Use Gentle Skincare Products: Stick to mild, non-irritating skincare products for a few days post-treatment. Avoid using products with harsh chemicals or strong fragrances. We can show you a number of great skincare solutions available for purchase.
- Schedule Follow-Up Treatments: HydraFacials can be part of a regular skincare routine. Discuss with your provider how often you should receive treatments based on your skin type and goals.
By adhering to these post-treatment instructions, you can prolong the benefits of your HydraFacial, ensuring your skin remains radiant, smooth, and healthy.
